A Tale of Two Cities

The inhabitants of Sderot and the inhabitants of Beit-Lahiya,

on the other side of the border, have the same interest:

to get out of the hell,

where death may fall from the sky at any moment.

Let the Mayors of Sderot and Beit-Lahiya jointly

address Sharon and Abu-Mazen

to demand a mutual cease-fire

that will put an end to the bombardment by rockets and mortars,

the targeted killings, the incursions and the shelling by tanks.

The cease-fire must be the start of meaningful negotiations

for a permanent settlement.

Abu-Mazen is the Palestinian partner for peace.
